Your Questions, Answered

  • Your first session begins with conversation. We’ll explore your health history, current concerns, stress patterns, and goals. From there, we’ll move into a blend of gentle chiropractic and acupuncture tailored specifically to your nervous system. Other modalities, such as cupping and moxibustion, may also be used.

Nothing is rushed. You’ll understand what we’re doing and why.

If you choose to integrate Astrology and Human Design, your initial session will also include a brief reading to help contextualize where you are physically, emotionally, and energetically. These insights can deepen self-understanding and align your healing with your natural rhythm.

  • Most people are surprised by how gentle acupuncture feels.

The needles used are extremely thin — much finer than those used for injections. You may feel a brief sensation as the needle is placed, followed by a subtle heaviness, warmth, tingling, or dull ache. These sensations are typically mild and often indicate that the nervous system is responding.

Many patients become deeply relaxed during treatment, and some even fall asleep.

Because my approach is nervous-system-informed, we move at your pace. If you’re sensitive or anxious about needles, we can adjust technique, use fewer points, or incorporate alternative methods. Your comfort is always part of the treatment.

  • No. My approach is gentle and precise. The goal is not to “crack” aggressively, but to support communication between your brain and body so regulation can occur naturally.

  • “Nervous-system-informed” means we focus on regulation before correction.

Many symptoms — from chronic pain and tension to hormonal imbalance, fatigue, and digestive issues — are influenced by how long the body has been in stress or survival mode. When the nervous system is dysregulated, the body adapts by bracing, holding, and compensating.

Instead of pushing the body to change, we create safety and stability first. Treatment is paced according to how your system responds, with gentle adjustments and acupuncture tailored to your sensitivity.

When your nervous system feels supported, your body can move out of survival mode and into repair.

  • Not at all. Many women come for stress regulation, hormonal balance, emotional processing, cycle support, fertility, or simply to feel more grounded and connected in their bodies.

  • While my practice centers women’s health and nervous system care, men are absolutely welcome to book sessions.

The principles of regulation, gentle chiropractic, and Chinese Medicine benefit all nervous systems. If you resonate with this approach — collaborative, integrative, and root-focused — you are welcome here!

  • They are optional lenses that help us understand your natural wiring — how you respond to stress, make decisions, and use energy. For some women, this adds meaningful context and empowerment to their healing process.

  • That depends on your goals and history. Some women come for focused care around a specific issue; others choose ongoing support as part of their wellness rhythm. We’ll discuss a plan that feels realistic and supportive for you.

  • Yes. Gentle chiropractic and acupuncture are safe and supportive throughout pregnancy when provided by a trained practitioner.

Care during pregnancy focuses on nervous system regulation, pelvic balance, pain relief, and supporting healthy circulation and organ function. Treatment can help prepare the body for delivery, ease common pregnancy discomforts, and support postpartum recovery.

I also offer care for infants and newborns, using extremely gentle techniques designed specifically for their developing nervous systems.

If you’re pregnant or postpartum, we will tailor every session to your stage and comfort.

  • I am not contracted with insurance companies.

This is an intentional choice that allows me to practice without the limitations insurance often places on care — such as diagnosis-based treatment requirements, visit caps, or restrictions on what can be addressed in a session.

By operating independently, I’m able to offer longer visits, integrate multiple modalities, and design treatment plans based on what your nervous system and body truly need — not what an insurance code will approve.

As a nonprofit organization, we are deeply committed to accessibility. Finances should not be a barrier to care. We have built a financial hardship model into the practice and offer community-based services and packages to support sustainability in care.

If cost is a concern, please reach out. We are happy to discuss options and find a path forward that feels sustainable.

For those with out-of-network benefits, a superbill can also be provided for potential reimbursement.
